Volunteer Roles Available
Voluntary sports clubs and physical activity groups in Tameside need your help!
The Active Tameside Sport & Physical Activity Network has been working with affiliated sports clubs and physical activity groups within Tameside to identify volunteer roles that are available.
We would like to hear from anyone who could give their time to support the organisations and in some cases, if needed, we can provide training and a DBS disclosure check.
If you would like more information about any of the roles and to be linked up with the club or group, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Useful Training Tools
Volunteer roles needed at your club/group:
- Basketball coach for 9/10 team (existing)
- Basketball coach for 7/8 team (new)
Alder High school – Wednesday 7-8pm or Monday 7-8pm.
Coach basketball for school year 7/8 and or 9/10. 9/10 is an existing team. 7/8 is going to be a new team.
Attend their games with them on either a Thursday or Friday. Occasionally games at 5.40pm.
We can help you start off training with the kids, and coach with you for a few weeks till you get used to the kids. Then we can assist you to get your level 2 or 3 in coaching, whichever suits you.
